PEOPLE in the lower and medium income group segments in Kolkata, who had kept their buying decisions on hold because of the ongoing slowdown, seem to be revising their decision.
Encouraged by the buoyant response from the prospective buyers, city-based realty player Mayfair Group, is building a dozen housing complexes, catering to the needs of the segments. The projects are coming up in different fringes of the city. Mayfair Greens, the biggest of them, will have 125 dwelling units— between 1,240 and 2,040 sq ft.
“There has always been and will always be some demand where there are actual end-users, the economic slowdown notwithstanding. They had kept their buying decisions on hold for some time, thanks to fear-psychosis. But we can tell you from our own experience that these are maturing now,” Rahul Gupta, director of Mayfair group, told FC Estate....
